Support for young specialists

Every year, more than 100 education employees access the Municipal Support Program for young professionals who rent housing.

The aim of the program is to help young professionals who work in the capital but are not resident in the city.

Young professionals who have been working in schools, kindergartens and other educational institutions of the local authorities for 3 years or less are eligible for this support.

In the period 2020-2022, the total amount of monetary compensation granted to young professionals renting accommodation was 716 thousand lei.

In 2020, 132 teachers received monthly allowances in the amount of 1 thousand lei per person; in 2021, 186 specialists received the same allowance.

In December 2022, the amount of the compensation doubled, so that the 199 employees in the education system received 2 thousand lei each as rent assistance.

At present, 336 young specialists work in the education system in Chisinau, more than half of whom live outside the city.
