Support for vulnerable persons and refugees

989 vulnerable families from the category of citizens of the Republic of Moldova and refugees from Ukraine, residing in the territory of the municipality of Chisinau, received a single material aid of 1000 lei per family.

Material aid was granted within the social project "UNHCR contribution in support of vulnerable people in the Republic of Moldova", implemented by the Chisinau City Hall in December 2022.

The lists included persons eligible for one-time material aid, according to the conditions specified in the orders of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection no. 93 of 09.11.2022 and no. 106 of 5.12.2022" and, namely:

1) is in a situation of hardship confirmed on the basis of the results of the assessment;
2) the person/family members in a situation of hardship are citizens of the Republic of Moldova or, where appropriate, foreigners specified in Art. 2 para. (1) of the Law no. 274/2011 on the integration of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova, including refugees from Ukraine, residing on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
3) the person/family whose average monthly income per family member does not exceed 3544 lei.

The project was implemented with funds from the UNHCR Population Support Fund.
