Emergency financial assistance

4251 vulnerable families from Chisinau municipality received emergency financial aid in the amount of 4900 lei.

The aid was granted within the framework of the social project "Providing emergency financial assistance to the crisis-affected population and integrating shock response into the national social protection system in Moldova", based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, WFP/UNWFP, UNFPA, UNHCR/UNHCR and UNICEF.

The 4900 lei will benefit the families most affected by poverty in the following categories:

1) families with disabled persons;
2) families with one adult with child/children aged 0-17 inclusive;
3) families with three or more children aged 0-17 inclusive;
4) families with children aged 0-2 inclusive (priority for pregnant or breastfeeding women).

The identification of potential beneficiaries of emergency financial assistance was carried out on the basis of the number of families within the established ceilings and the distribution of the number of potential beneficiaries per administrative authority.

The total budget allocated to this program was 20 829 900 lei.
