Municipal contest "Pedagogul Anului"

Every year, the Chisinau City Hall allocates up to 150 thousand lei for the municipal contest "Teacher of the Year", which rewards the efforts of the best teachers and directors of educational institutions in the capital.

In 2020, the year in which the employees of the education system had to face the challenges caused by the pandemic, Chisinau City Hall allocated 149 thousand lei to decorate teachers and principals who stood out for their creativity and hard work during that period. In total, 17 teachers won monetary awards and received diplomas of merit, and 14 employees were awarded in the following year.

In 2022, the amount allocated by the City Hall for teacher awards was 116 thousand lei.

According to the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport of the City Council, the purpose of the Competition is to propagate good practices in the field of education and raise the prestige of teachers in society.
