Municipal Canoe Championship
Description
The best young kayak-canoe athletes from Chisinau municipality compete at the Open Championship of Chisinau municipality in kayak-canoe.
After a long period without competitions, in May 2022 about 166 participants, from 13 to 18 years old, took part in the sports event.
The event took place on the territory of Valea Morilor lake. The competitions were organized by the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport of the Chisinau Municipal Council in cooperation with the Canoe Federation of the Republic of Moldova.
The athletes in the category of juniors and youth from the municipality of Chisinau competed for three days on the distance of 2000 meters single and double. In total 252 races were completed.
The winners and prize winners of the Championship were awarded with diplomas
and medals offered by DGETS.
