30 new special vehicles on Renault chassis

This purchase represents the largest lot of new special vehicles acquired in the history of the Republic of Moldova and reflects the commitment of the Chisinau City Hall and the municipal sanitation operator to providing high-quality waste management services.

Although this is the largest lot of special vehicles acquired so far, the Chisinau City Hall and the Municipal Enterprise will continue to invest in modernizing and expanding the vehicle fleet and beyond, to ensure the most efficient and high-performing waste management service.

The contract for the purchase of these 30 special vehicles intended for the evacuation and transportation of waste in the Capital, worth 3,592,005.00 euros, was signed on March 10, 2023, by the Municipal Enterprise „Autosalubritate” and the company SC GRADINARIU IMPORT EXPORT SRL, Romania, which was designated the winner following the tender organized on the EBRD electronic procurement platform.

Throughout 2024, the entire fleet of special vehicles of the municipal sanitation operator was modernized and expanded, with a total of 44 new special vehicles acquired, namely: 6 side-loading special vehicles, model ATRIKOD on MAN chassis, 8 Iveco tractor units, and 8 new semi-trailers for transporting municipal waste, as well as the 30 EFE model special vehicles on RENAULT chassis.
