Bike lane on 31st August 1989 Street

As part of the comprehensive rehabilitation of 31st August 1989 Street, a bicycle lane has been installed along the artery.

Bollards have been installed for delineation, and green markings have been applied at intersections to alert drivers crossing the bike lane.

These works are part of Package II of the project "Rehabilitation of central streets and modernization of public lighting in the center of Chișinău municipality," financed by the EBRD and EIB.

After the completion of this project, 31st August 1989 Street will become the "Green Corridor." Consequently, there will be a single lane for car traffic, while the other lane will be dedicated to alternative transportation, particularly bicycles.

In this context, drivers are kindly requested to pay attention to traffic signs and to park only in designated areas to avoid blocking traffic on this street.
