The road marking - „The Red Carpet”

These markings are made from a special material with an abrasive surface, which helps reduce braking distance, thus providing drivers with extra reaction time.

The first such markings have already been implemented on several streets in the capital, namely: Cuza-Vodă, Sarmizegetusa, Miron Costin, and Braniștii.

Soon, they will also be applied on Decebal Boulevard, which is currently under rehabilitation, and on other important arteries in the city, such as Mircea cel Bătrân Boulevard and Ion Pelivan Street, where the need for this type of marking is being analyzed.

Chișinău City Hall continues to invest in innovative measures to ensure the safety of citizens and improve traffic conditions in the city.
