PEDESTRIAN CROSSING ON GH. ASACHI STREET
Description
In the Centru district of the capital, the construction of a new raised pedestrian crossing has been completed at the intersection of Sprîncenoaia Street and Gheorghe Asachi Street.
This crossing is strategically located in front of Kindergarten No. 8 and near the "Aristotel" Theoretical High School, ensuring increased safety for pedestrians, especially children, who pass through the area.
The work carried out by the "Exdrupo" Directorate included the removal of the old pedestrian path, the laying and compacting of the raised asphalt layer, installation of speed limiters made of adhesive road markings, and the application of horizontal and vertical signage.
This measure is part of Chișinău City Hall’s strategy to enhance urban traffic safety by reducing vehicle speeds in areas heavily frequented by pedestrians.
