SQUARE NEAR "GH. ASACHI" HIGH SCHOOL
Description
The square in front of the “Gheorghe Asachi” Theoretical High School has been completely rehabilitated and modernized by the municipality, including the installation of the Monument to Queen Marie, which stands over 6 meters high.
The bronze sculpture of Queen Marie was created by Veaceslav Jiglițchi, an Honorary Citizen of Chișinău, in partnership with the Chișinău City Hall.
The project works also included: dismantling the old pavement and creating a monolithic foundation, laying new paving stones made of Cosăuți stone and vibropressed concrete slabs, landscaping the green areas and planting various species of trees, shrubs, and perennial plants, carrying out underground electrical connections and installing lighting fixtures, as well as placing new urban furniture.
The Chișinău City Hall, in partnership with Romania, has implemented and continues to carry out numerous projects in the fields of infrastructure, education, social protection, economy, and culture.
