Energy efficiency Kindergarten no. 225

Kindergarten No. 225 " Spicusor" was repaired and modernized by the Chisinau City Hall within the Project "Energy Efficiency and Thermal Insulation of Public Institutions in Chisinau Municipality"/"Eficienta Energetica si izolarea termica a institutiilor publice din  municipiul Chisinau".

The works involved:

- Installation of the individual thermal point;
- Change of windows and doors;
- Change of the LED lighting system;
- Thermal insulation of the building and plastering of the facade walls;
- Heating system;
- Rehabilitation works of the roof;
- Change of the ventilation system in the pool and laundry room;
- Installation of photovoltaic panels.

The kindergarten in the Ciocana sector has been transformed into a comfortable and warmer institution for the 840 children who attend it.

Thanks to the project, the institution saves about 55% of its electricity and about 60% of its heating energy.

The municipality has invested 690,000 euros, the equivalent of about 14 million lei, in this institution.
