PLANTING OF 50 TREES IN NICOLAE DIMO SQUARE
Description
The General Mayor, Ion Ceban, together with colleagues and local residents, planted 50 trees in the square on Nicolae Dimo Street 7/3. This action was a response to the act of vandalism committed during the night of May 8 to 9, 2025, when 40 previously planted trees were deliberately destroyed.
"I strongly condemn these practices and send a clear message to those who, through tricks and fictitious attempts to register condominiums, try to illegally seize public land: you will not build anything in this city if you continue to act in this way," the mayor stated.
Going forward, Chișinău City Hall will install public lighting in the area, build a children's playground and a fitness area, and for everyone's safety, surveillance cameras will be installed.
