Description

Between 2020 and 2024, Chișinău City Hall invested over 66 million lei in the rehabilitation and modernization of food service facilities in primary and general secondary education institutions. All investments were made from municipal funds, including through the loan contracted for the energy efficiency project.

Capital repairs totaling 50.6 million lei included:
• 46 food service blocks (including production units)
• 38 dining halls in over 80 school institutions

The interventions covered institutions in all city sectors and suburban areas, ensuring equal and safe nutrition conditions for tens of thousands of students.

The modernization of canteens is an essential part of the municipality’s strategy to provide quality education in clean, dignified, and functional spaces.
