KINDERGARTEN IN BRĂILA VILLAGE, BĂCIOI COMMUNE

After a long wait, in 2023 the locality opened its first modern kindergarten in the last six decades — built entirely from the ground up.

The municipality’s contribution to the construction project of the preschool institution amounted to almost 60% of the total cost. The total value of the works was nearly 12 million lei, of which the municipality invested 6.7 million lei, the local public administration (level I) contributed about 3 million lei, and the Government of Romania — over 2.26 million lei.

The Chișinău City Hall promptly responded to the requests from the local administration of Băcioi, teaching staff, and parents to build a new kindergarten in the village. The old kindergarten operated in an outdated building from the 1960s that also housed the Post Office and the Medical Center, and no longer met the quality and safety standards required for an early education institution.

Thus, in 2021, construction began on a new two-story facility, and on August 15, 2023, the preschoolers of Brăila entered a modern, welcoming institution equipped according to the latest standards.
The new kindergarten has a capacity of 60 places.

The Chișinău City Hall prioritizes investments in educational institutions. In recent years, it has built, expanded, or rehabilitated kindergartens in all the suburbs of the capital.
