Expansion of "Vasile Lupu" Theoretical Lyceum
Description
The "Vasile Lupu" Theoretical High School in the Centru sector of the capital has been expanded with a new block for kindergarten groups. For this purpose, the municipality allocated 8 million 175 thousand lei.
The new kindergarten block is designed for 3 groups of children. The total budget allocated for this expansion project amounts to over 8.1 million lei.
The "Vasile Lupu" Theoretical High School is an institution with instruction in Russian, representing the former Municipal School No. 38, which is to be transformed into an educational complex.
Currently, the school's collective consists of 576 students and 45 teaching staff.
Since 2022, based on the "Vasile Lupu" High School, a project was initiated to expand the institution by opening 3 kindergarten groups for about 75 children.
The total cost of the project amounted to 8 million 175 thousand lei, which covered the expenses for the kindergarten group openings and the arrangement of the playground area, including the construction of 3 pavilions.
The project has been successfully completed, and currently, 72 children are enrolled in the new, modernized kindergarten groups at the "Vasile Lupu" High School, conforming to standards.
Additionally, in 2024, 2 million lei from the municipal budget were allocated for major repairs of the gym, the corridor on the first floor, the sanitary blocks, and the renovation of 2 classrooms for the institution’s students.
