Insurance with hearing aids

More than 3,000 residents of the capital received free hearing aids during 2020-2021 through a municipal program to support people with hearing impairment.

In 2020, the authorities allocated 1.5 million lei to provide hearing aids to the hearing impaired. In the first six months of the year, 1,579 people received hearing aids.

In July 2020, the hearing aid clinic in AMT Centru started its work.

In the first half of 2021, another 1.680 hearing aids were distributed to hearing-impaired citizens, in accordance with the provisions of the program entrusted to the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance of Chisinau City Hall.

The aim of the program is to improve the quality of life of people with hearing impairment and to facilitate their participation in community life.
