Free treatment for vulnerable people

About 1.5 million lei have been allocated from the Chisinau budget over the last three years to support people from socially vulnerable families who need treatment but do not have a health insurance policy.

In 2020-2021, a total of 18 uninsured people from Chisinau municipality needed financial support from municipal sources to pay for the cost of medical treatment.

For this purpose, the City Hall and the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance allocated financial means in the amount of more than 431 800 lei.

In 2021, 34 persons benefited from this support for which the amount of 331 300 lei was allocated.

For the year 2022, the amount of 804 574 lei was allocated for 99 beneficiaries.

In total, in 2020-2022, 151 needy people without health insurance were provided with access to medical services, and means in the amount of 1 567 000 lei were allocated for this purpose.
