"Echipa Mobila pentru copii" Program

Annually, more than 1.5 million lei are allocated from the budget of the Chisinau municipality for the services provided to children with special needs within the "Echipa Mobila pentru copii" initiative.

In the last three years, the number of children benefiting from these services has increased, so that in 2022 more than 80 children with disabilities were under the care of social workers.

The specialists of the "Echipa Mobila pentru copii" initiative provide psychological counselling, speech therapy, physiotherapy and medical advice directly at home. The main objective of the project is to prevent stigma and discrimination against children with disabilities, so that the young beneficiaries feel valued in society.

In 2020, 1 million 652 thousand 600 lei were allocated for this initiative from the municipal budget. 66 children with disabilities benefited from the services of the assistants.

One year later, 76 children benefited from the services mentioned, for which the Chisinau City Hall allocated 1 million 728 thousand 200 lei from the municipal budget.
In total, over the two years, specialists from the Social and Medical Assistance Department of the City Hall carried out 2,120 home interventions.

In 2022, the Echipa Mobila pentru copii provided services to 82 children with special needs in Chisinau municipality, the amount allocated by the City Hall for this purpose was 1 million 990 thousand lei.
