As part of the rehabilitation works, a fountain was built, the pavement was restored, and flower pots and urban furniture—benches and waste bins—were installed. A nighttime lighting system was also added.
In 2025, following the capital renovation carried out by the Chișinău City Hall, the “Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici” Cultural Center opened its doors. The center is located in the square that bears the artists’ name, on 77 Alexei Mateevici Street. The project was carried out in memory of Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici, together with their son, Cristi Aldea-Teodorovici.
The center is dedicated to preserving and promoting the artistic legacy of Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici. It hosts exhibitions, book and album launches, cultural activities, as well as commemorative events. The Teodorovici family donated musical scores, stage costumes, personal items, and musical instruments to the Cultural Center, contributing to the creation of a museum-like space with memorial and educational value.
