"Identitatile Chisinaului. Arheologia urbana"/ "Identities of Chisinau. Urban Archaeology"

The Chisinau City Hall has financially supported the production of the book "Identities of Chisinau. Urban Archaeology".

This volume, the 7th in the series "Identities of Chisinau"/„Identitatile Chisinaului”, contains valuable information on the most recent archaeological research in Chisinau, as well as a list of all archaeological sites in the municipality, in addition to other academic contributions. The coordinators of the publication are Prof. Sergiu Musteata and writer Alexandru Corduneanu.

On 25 May 2022, the book was presented at the National Museum of Arts. The launch of the book aims to raise public awareness of the archaeological heritage of Chisinau and the need for its protection, research and proper exploitation.

The book is intended for all people interested in the history of Chisinau, but especially for local public administration officials, whose mission is to ensure the preservation of the cultural heritage of the municipality.

Both the research that was the basis of the book and the launch itself were made possible thanks to financial support from the Chisinau City Hall, which allocated 150 thousand lei for this purpose.
