Energy efficiency LT "George Meniuc"

The "George Meniuc" Lyceum has been insulated and made energy efficient.

In January 2023, the works were completed, which aimed to create better study conditions for students and teachers, but also to reduce the cost of energy bills, thanks to the use of solar energy.

Dozens of solar panels have been installed on the roofs of the high school, and the building is thermally insulated to international standards. The municipal investment in these works was about 28.7 million lei.

The rehabilitation of buildings such as the "George Meniuc" Lyceum took place within the framework of the project "Energy efficiency and thermal rehabilitation of buildings in the municipality of Chisinau"/„Eficienta energetica si reabilitarea termica a cladirilor din municipiul Chisinau", implemented by the Chisinau City Hall with the support of the BERD, BEI and the ESP Energy Fund.
