Sports/festivities halls at "A. I. Cuza" Lyceum

The "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" Theoretical High School in the Riscani sector of the capital has a new sports hall and a hall for festivities.

The works were financed by the Chisinau City Hall.

The annex of the old gymnasium was demolished and a new, larger, two-storey block was built in its place. On the first level is the sports hall and on the second - the hall of festivities. The halls, changing rooms and the area around the block have also been improved. Sanitary blocks have also been created.

The municipality has invested about 11 million lei in this project.

The new halls are spacious and suitable for the efficient running of the educational process in physical education, extracurricular sports activities (volleyball, basketball, rugby, football), activities of art classes, extracurricular circles.

According to the data for 2022, 1187 students in 42 classes are studying in the high school, of which 4 classes have an aesthetic profile (fine arts; choreography; theatre).
