Payment of " Apa-Canal Chisinau" debt

In order to improve the condition of the water and sewerage networks, loans were taken out in 2013 to finance a large Priority Investment Program, and SA " Apa-Canal Chisinau" was charged with the repayment of the loans. The latter found itself unable to honor its obligations and asked the municipality for support.

As a result, the Chisinau City Hall agreed in 2021 to subsidize the activity of " Apa-Canal " so that it could pay its debts to external donors.

Thus, during 2021, the City Hall transferred 33 million lei to " Apă-Canal". In 2022, the municipality allocated 125 million lei, and in April 2023 by a decision of the CMC another 42 million lei were allocated to " Apa-Canal Chisinau".

In total, the Chisinau City Hall allocated an amount of more than 200 million lei so that " Apa-Canal Chisinau" SA can repay the previous loans.
