Social services for the protection of children

The Chisinau City Hall and UNICEF Moldova launched a project on the development of social services for the protection of children in 2023.

The project will launch an awareness-raising campaign „Schimba viata unui copil. Devino asistent parental profesionist”/ "Change the life of a child.

Become a professional parental assistant". Professional parental assistants will receive a 50 percent salary supplement and children will receive a one-off allowance, a monthly allowance and a monthly financial supplement.

Currently, 110 children without parental care are waiting to be placed in families in Chisinau, including refugee children and adolescents.

Its aim is to involve experienced people in the care services for children and adolescents left without parental care.

The Chisinau City Hall is the main investor, with a contribution of 28 million lei, and UNICEF Moldova's contribution is 22 million lei.
