Energy efficiency at "Gloria" Sports Lyceum

The high school building has been thermally rehabilitated and solar panels have been installed to improve energy efficiency.

The works were carried out within the project "Energy efficiency and thermal rehabilitation of educational institutions in Chisinau municipality"/”Eficienta energetia si reabilitarea termica a institutiilor educationale din municipiul Chisinau”, started in 2021 by the City Hall in 18 educational institutions.

The aim of the project is to make energy consumption more efficient and to monitor the whole process in schools and kindergartens. Several studies have shown that such projects considerably reduce the maintenance costs of buildings.

The following works have been carried out over a year and a half:

- Thermal insulation of the walls

- Thermal insulation of the roof

- Replacement of the carpentry

- Rehabilitation of the heat distribution systems

- Modernization of the interior lighting system

- Installation of the photovoltaic system.

At the same time, Chisinau City Hall aims to extend the project "Energy efficiency and thermal rehabilitation of buildings in Chisinau municipality" to other educational institutions in the municipality.
