Chisinau Sightseeing Tourist Trolleybus

The Chisinau Sightseeing Tourist Trolleybus is an innovative and interesting project that encourages the discovery of the history and culture of Chisinau and promotes tourism in the region.

The Chisinau Sightseeing Tourist Trolleybus project was launched in 2021 on the occasion of the celebration of 585 years since the first documentary record of Chisinau.

The aim of this project is to promote the important sights of the city of Chisinau, thus encouraging the inhabitants and guests of the capital to discover and get to know the history of the city, the streets and the important personalities who influenced the evolution of our nation.The tourist trolleybus offers passengers a one-hour experience in a comfortable trolleybus, which allows them to admire the true architectural mixed work of the city and to get to know histories, legends and curiosities about Chisinau.

Information is conveyed through audio guides, which are available in Romanian, Russian and English. Foreign tourists from various countries have taken part in the tourist trolley trips: Ukraine, Romania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Sweden, Republic of Cuba, Argentina, USA, Canada, etc.

Free trips have been given to students from 35 educational institutions and children from 9 foster homes.

Special trips were also organized for diplomatic missions and delegations.

The budget allocated by the City Hall for the services of creating routes and texts for audio guides, audio guides and translations, as well as audio guide sound was 69,081 lei. So far, the project has benefited over 15,000 people.
