Municipal tourist website

The project to create a website visit.chisinau.md was launched by the Chisinau City Hall with the aim of promoting history, culture, heritage and tourism in the city. The development and maintenance of the website was carried out by the General Directorate of Economy, Trade and Tourism. It is the first website exclusively dedicated to the notorious tourism in the capital.

On the website visit.chisinau.md you can access a lot of useful information - historical or cultural, with a brief description of the most significant, valuable or curious sights of the capital: from historical buildings, monuments, theatres and museums, to tourist routes and thematic excursions, carried out by the Tourist Trolley - Chisinau Sightseeing.  Many of these excursions can be listened to through audio guides in three languages - Romanian, English and Russian.

Browsing the site, guests can meet the capital's most important personalities of the modern or contemporary era, who have contributed significantly to the positive image of the city and brought its fame abroad.

The website also publishes a unique collection of urban legends and national stories. 

Recommendations for outdoor activities (including for children and teenagers) are available on the website, and the 'Events Calendar' section publishes programs of national and local events for anyone visiting the city or its surroundings.

The interactive map allows you to identify places of interest, their location and audio descriptions.

The website is regularly updated by representatives of the subdivision with original informative text about the most important events in the capital, new sights or thematic excursions on new routes.

The project budget was 408,000 lei, divided into the following expenses:

- website development - 189,000 lei;
- photos for the website - 66,000 lei;
- servicing in 2021 - 81,000 lei;
- servicing in 2022 - 72,000 lei.

The website aims to provide useful information about the most important events and sights in Chisinau, available in three languages: Romanian, Russian and English. On the website you can find detailed descriptions of historical buildings, monuments, theatres, museums and the tourist trolley bus, as well as recommendations for outdoor activities or programs of national and local events.

The interactive map of the city offers a possibility to identify places of interest, their location and a short description accompanied by audio guides. Visitors to the site can also meet prominent personalities of the city, who have contributed significantly to its positive image and brought fame to Chisinau abroad.
