Improving Grigore Vieru alley

The project to develop the alley on bd. Grigore Vieru was completed in 2022, in conjunction with the rehabilitation of the sidewalks on both sides of the boulevard.  

The complex of works included:

- rehabilitation of the pedestrian alley and green spaces;

- modernization of the public lighting;

- installation of a modern irrigation system;

- change of street furniture;

- installation of 10 swings;

- rehabilitation and painting of the cast-iron fence;

- installation of the video surveillance system;

- paving in the form of a Moldovan national carpet;

- landscaping of the platform around the monument.

The total budget allocated to the works was over 2.6 million lei, from municipal funds.

The realization of the "Covorul moldovesc" was made possible with the support of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination TIKA.
