Single birth grant

In the period 2020-2023, 1,772 families benefited from the municipal program of financial support to families at the birth of children.

The program aims to provide material support to families by providing a minimum financial support at the birth of children, regardless of their status, as well as to promote the birth rate in Chisinau municipality.

Through this program, families receive a one-off material aid of 2000 lei, which can be used to cover the expenses associated with the birth and care of the newborn child.

Over the past 3 years, the program has helped 1772 families with the birth of 1811 babies, giving them a hand up financially at a time when the expenses associated with a new baby can be very high.

The budget allocated to this program from 2020-2023 was 12,516,000 lei.
