The Municipal Clinical Children’s Hospital “Gheorghe Paladi” has been energy-efficiently upgraded.

The building of the Municipal Hospital “Gheorghe Paladi” was rehabilitated within the project “Energy Efficiency and Thermal Insulation of Public Institutions in the Municipality of Chișinău”, implemented by the Chișinău City Hall with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the E5P Energy Efficiency Fund.

The works started in 2022.

The total cost of the works amounted to 41,500,000 MDL.

▶️ The most important rehabilitation works included:

• thermal insulation of Block K and Block O;

• partial replacement of windows and doors;

• capital repair of the roofs of Block O and Block K;

• replacement of three elevators;

• removal of asbestos panels;

• modernization of the main heating substation.

As a result of the completed works, energy consumption and related costs were significantly reduced, and the quality of services provided to patients was improved.

Within the project “Energy Efficiency and Thermal Insulation of Public Institutions in the Municipality of Chișinău”, two other medical institutions were also rehabilitated: the Municipal Clinical Hospital “Sfânta Treime” and the Municipal Clinical Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco”.
