Description

The building of the Municipal Clinical Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco” was rehabilitated within the framework of the project “Energy Efficiency and Thermal Insulation of Public Institutions in the Municipality of Chișinău”, implemented by the Chișinău City Hall with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the E5P Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership Fund.

The works started in August 2022.

A total of EUR 2.37 million was allocated for this hospital.

▶️ The most important rehabilitation works included:
▪️ Structural strengthening of the buildings (thermal insulation of walls, roof, and basement);
▪️ Replacement of windows and doors;
▪️ Rehabilitation of the electrical network;
▪️ Replacement of the glass façade structure;
▪️ Manufacturing and installation of 5 new elevators;
▪️ Installation of energy monitoring equipment;
▪️ Additional works: rehabilitation of staircases and balconies;
▪️ Application of state-of-the-art green energy technologies to reduce harmful emissions.

As a result of the completed works, energy consumption and related costs were significantly reduced, and the quality of services provided to patients was improved.

Within the framework of the project “Energy Efficiency and Thermal Insulation of Public Institutions in the Municipality of Chișinău”, two other medical institutions were also rehabilitated: the Municipal Clinical Hospital “Sf. Treime” and the Municipal Clinical Hospital “Gheorghe Paladi”.

Investment: 27 600 000 lei
