Description

A new square has been built in the Riscani sector of the capital, at 14/1 Kiev Street.

The green space bears the name "Guguta", after Spiridon Vangheli's famous character.

The square was created from scratch, on a public space that was previously in a state of neglect.

The highlight of the area is the monument to Guguta. The work is made of bronze, with a height of 1.5 meters and was created by sculptor Veaceslav Jiglițchi.

The works to improve the square consisted of:
- paving the pedestrian paths;
- installing public lighting;
- installing the irrigation system;
- rehabilitating the green spaces;
- installing street furniture;
- installing the video surveillance system.

The works to improve the square were financed in partnership with some economic agents.
