Road maintenance with „Slurry Seal”

Several streets in the capital are being subjected to a new maintenance technology, following the first-time contracting of road treatment services using a bituminous „Slurry Seal” mix.

The mix, composed of cationic emulsified asphalt, mineral filler, water, and additives, is applied to the pavement using special equipment. It is designed to extend the lifespan of the asphalt surface and is used on roads with light to moderate deterioration, featuring narrow cracks.

Such works have been carried out on Mircea cel Batran Boulevard, Alba Iulia Street, Moscova Boulevard, Petricani Street, Renasterii Nationale Street, Mesterul Manole Street, Dacia Boulevard, the Viaduct, Calea Ieșilor, Mihai Viteazul Street, Kiev Street, Alecu Russo Street, and Alba Iulia Street.
