Transport in the suburbs, supplemented and made more efficient

In the period 2020-2022, municipal public transport serving suburban routes was renewed, supplemented, streamlined and made more efficient.

New routes have been opened and others have been extended, so that out of the total number of 174 buses purchased during this period, 87 have been put on the 18 routes serving the suburban routes. These are new buses with ISUZU, VDL, MAN, Volvo and Solaris routes. The value of the purchase is almost 283 million lei.

The transport units meet the highest quality standards, including air conditioning and a low floor with retractable platform to ensure a comfortable journey for all passengers.

Thanks to these purchases, it was possible to increase the number of daily transport units on the route from 111 to 137 and to open new bus routes, including to the suburbs.

In 2021, bus route no. 37 "Vasile Alecsandri street - Stauceni commune" was reopened. 

Also, the number of transport units on most suburban routes has been increased, including no. 9 “Henri Coanda - c. Codru"; no. 16 "Agrarian University - or. Vatra"; No. 18 "Ismail street - Revaca village"; No. 33 "Ismail street - Dobrogea village"; No. 44 "Ismail street - Singera - Revaca village”.

During this period, 85 new trolleybuses were purchased. The total cost of the project was over 256 million lei.

As a result of these purchases, trolleybus route no. 34 "Ciuflea - Truseni str." was supplemented.

Also, at the request of the inhabitants, new trolleybus route no. 33 "USMF - or. Durlesti", supplemented and extended route no. 35 "V. Alecsandri - or. Similarly, in order to improve the flow of passengers, trolleybus route no. 37 "Gara - Bubuieci" and the route no. 36 "or. Chisinau - or. Ialoveni”.
