Year of Youth 2023

At the beginning of April 2023, the Chisinau City Hall, together with hundreds of young people, kicked off the Year of Youth in Chisinau with a festive event.

Priority areas for the Year of Youth 2023:

- Development of the Network of Youth Centres in the municipality of Chisinau;
- Assistance and support for Local Youth Councils and Student Councils in the municipality of Chisinau;
- Development of skills needed by young people;
- Support programs for non-governmental youth organizations;
- Promotion of volunteering and civic activism among young people;
- Development of skills and support for young people through financial support programs (launch of start-up program).

During 2023, Chisinau City Hall has planned to implement more than 50 youth programs with a total allocated budget of 60 million lei, among them are:

- Approval of the first Youth Strategy of the Chisinau municipality;
⁃ Creation of the Chisinau Municipal Youth Agency, an institution responsible for the implementation of all youth programs in the capital;
- Launch of the Municipal Youth Startup Program;
⁃ Launch of the business accelerator for young people who want to start businesses in Chisinau;
⁃ Launch of the first HUB for youth NGOs in Chisinau;
⁃ Launch of the mobile application "e-tineret", where all the information and activities of the Year of Youth will be accessible.
