Extended hours groups

About 100 million lei have been allocated by the Chisinau City Hall in the last two years for the activity of the extended hours groups in the municipal schools.

While 35 million lei were allocated for this purpose for the school year 2021-2022, the amount allocated for the school year 2022-2023 has almost doubled, amounting to 60 million lei.

Previously, these expenses were borne by parents or by the administration of the educational institutions.

The extended hours groups are attended by 29 thousand students from Chisinau, from grades I-IV. Here they can prepare their homework and socialize with other children under the supervision of a teacher.

The daily program of activities in the classes or groups with extended hours lasts 3 or 6 astronomical hours, in groups of maximum 30 pupils.
