Remote reading water meters

2000 water meters with remote reading system of consumption data were installed by "Apa-Canal Chisinau" S.A. in the apartments of the residential blocks in Chisinau, in the period 2020-2022, within the pilot project on the conclusion/signing of individual contracts for the supply/service of public water supply and sewerage.

The advantages of implementing this data reading system have economic and social benefits. It allows remote reading of consumption data for each water meter installed in any premises, multi-store buildings, industrial enterprises, offices, etc.

Another advantage is the possibility to automatically integrate customer consumption data into the billing system, which facilitates the work of the calculation engineers. The operational costs for the supplier are also made more efficient by excluding controllers.

We are also talking about the transparency of the system, which makes it possible to identify and eliminate the difference in consumption that may occur between the data on the connection meter and the data on the end-user meters.

Once installed, the meters that allow remote data reading make the process faster and more accurate, eliminating the human factor. Another advantage is the timely signaling of certain unjustified consumption losses, which can have negative consequences on buildings, public-private domain.

At the beginning of 2023 meters with remote data transmission were installed in residential blocks on Dacia, Aeroportului, Haltei, Negristeni, Dacia 60/2, 60/3, 60/5, 67/1; Aeroportului str. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12. etc.

The value of the installed equipment is estimated at 2.5 million lei.
